Media as a resource for holocaust education |

It is almost impossible to teach about the Holocaust without
the use of media. There is no more powerful way to convey
this horror and its magnitude than by showing documentary
images or their fictionalized reproductions. But along with
that power, Holocaust media can be very dangerous if it is
misused or improperly introduced. In this seminar, we will
discuss the different types of Holocaust-related video
media, their strengths, their weaknesses, and their hidden
dangers. |
