"Elyse Rast brings enthusiasm, creativity and insightfulness to her teaching of Holocaust Studies. She offers a multi-media presentation of the topic, using fiction, film and journaling to raise important issues of the Holocaust. Most important, she is able to connect with kids at their level, creating a safe environment for kids to open up and share thoughts and feelings. Both students and parents are devoted to Elyse." -Rabbi Barbara Penzner Temple Hillel B'nai Torah, West Roxbury, MA |
